*NOW is the time to file your 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov . You can use estimated 2010 income and tax information to file ASAP. The 2011-2012 FAFSA covers the academic year that begins with Summer 2011 and ends with Spring 2012.
*The 7 Easy Steps to the FAFSA is a tutorial that will talk you through the sections of the FAFSA in clear and easy to understand steps. It is a great reference to use before completing your FAFSA to assist in understanding the questions and financial aid process.
* NEW for 2011-2012! The Clatsop Community College Financial Aid Office (Clatsop processes financial aid for OCCC students) will now notify you of all updates through the email address as listed on your 2011-2012 FAFSA. Watch your email for "Financial Aid Mail", follow instructions and respond promptly to all requests for additional information and/or documents. Your application is not considered complete until all requested information and/or documents have been submitted. Here is the initial email that gets sent to every student when their FAFSA application is received.

Go to www.clatsopcc.edu/myCCC, log in and select the Financial Aid link to arrive at your Financial Aid Status page. Select "What is Needed to Complete Application Process? / Message Board" link in the 2011/12 Academic Year section. Carefully review each message. For questions, CCC students should contact Financial Aid at finaid@clatsopcc.edu. Oregon Coast students should contact finaid@occc.cc.or.us.
