Graduation -- Credit Students

Plan to attend the 2013 Graduation Ceremony on Friday, June 14, 2013
at 7:00 p.m. in the Newport Performing Arts Center. 

Come and celebrate the accomplishments of OCCC's 2013 graduates at this special event.

At this year’s commencement ceremony special tribute will be made to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.  All veterans who gown up at this year's commencement--students and faculty alike--will be awarded a special cord honoring their service in the military. If you are a veteran and would like to wear one of these cords, please identify yourself to the graduation committee by sending an email to graduation@occc.cc.or.us.  We need this information so we can order the correct number of cords.

	Information for graduates and their guests:
Announcements	You may purchase announcments directly from Jostens when you purchase your graduation regalia or you can print your own using this template.
Graduation Regalia	Students need to purchase their caps and gowns for graduation.  Please contact Jostens for information about sizes and ordering.  Orders must be completed by May 17, 2013; orders placed after this date will incur a $10 expedite fee.  Please contact Student Services if you have a financial hardship that would prevent you from participating in graduation.
Attendance	It is important for us to know if you will be walking at the graduation ceremony.  Please email graduation@occc.cc.or.us and confirm your participation in the June 14, 2013 graduation ceremony by May 17, 2013.
Student Speaker Nominations	Please email graduation@occc.cc.or.us to nominate one of your fellow students to speak at this year's commencement.  Nominations are due by May 10, 2013.
Next Step	What will be your Next Step?  The information you provide will be read at the graduation ceremony as you cross the stage to receive your diploma or certificate.  Please complete this form and let us know what the future holds for you.  Will you be transferring to a university?  Taking a break?  Looking for work?
Parking	Parking is free for you and your guests.  Keep in mind that those attending the GED commencement ceremony will be occupying spaces in the PAC parking lot so, if you plan to come early allow for this.
Family and Guests	You may bring as many guests as you wish to the ceremony.  No tickets or reservations are necessary for your guests.
Your Diploma	When you cross the stage, you will receive a congratulatory certificate in place of your actual degree or certificate. The official document will be mailed to you if all graduation requirements have been met. Please return to your seat after you cross the stage area so you can be conferred as a graduate of Oregon Coast Community College.
