Hatha Yoga with a splash of Tai Chi
NEW for Fall 2018! Weakness, pain, and low stamina reduce the capabilities of your body, stopping you from reaching your full potential. Exercise opens you up and creates a means to garner mental clarity and calmness. Hatha Yoga is one such exercise. ‘Ha’ means ‘Sun’, and ‘tha’ means ‘Moon’. Hatha Yoga means to bring balance to the sun and moon in you. It is designed to calm your body, mind, and spirit and prepare you for meditation. This is a one-hour yoga class followed by one-half hour of Tai Chi practice. Pilates, specific core-strengthening exercises, as well as some light weight lifting have
been incorporated into the class, greatly enhancing
the exercises. Bring a yoga mat, and a dumbbell between 2 and 5 pounds, if you have one. (For more information, see the full description at
