Advising

OCCC views academic advising as an important component in student success. All students are required to meet with an advisor before beginning study at the College. Advisors assist with academic planning resulting in short and long term plans for degrees and certificates. Advisors can also help students understand College procedures and policies.

Students should make an appointment to meet with an advisor for initial and complex advising questions. Student Services staff try to answer individual questions on an “as needed, walk-in” basis. Advising is available in Newport and Lincoln City by appointment.  Schedule an advising appointment here.
