If you withdraw, stop attending, drop all classes or receive all Audit, F, or I grades, this applies to you.
REFUNDS
If you drop one or more of your classes by the last day to drop a class and receive a refund deadline specificied in the academic calendar, a 100% refund of tuition and fees (excluding non-refundable fees) will be issued to you. If you withdraw from a class or classes after that deadline, no refund will be issued except for financial aid students who completely withdraw from all classes. Refunds of tuition and fees for financial aid students are returned to the Department of Education and not to you the student. If you completely withdraw from all classes between the beginning of the second week of classes through the 60% point of the term, you will receive a refund of tuition and fees based on the percentage of the term not completed. Refunds of tuition and fees for financial aid students will be returned to the Federal Student Aid Programs, and not to the student, in the order listed below:
* Unsubsidized Federal Direct Loan Program
* Subsidized Federal Direct Loan Program
* Federal Pell Grant Program
* Other Federal Financial Aid Programs
* Student
Refunds of tuition and fees for financial aid students will be processed within 30 days of the withdrawal date or the date of determination of withdrawal, whichever is later.
If you stop attending during the first 60% of the term and do not withdraw, the College may be required to refund to the Department of Education all or a portion of the financial aid that was used to pay your tuition and you may be billed for the tuition payment that was refunded. You will owe this tuition to the College if you do not formally withdraw during the first week of the term.
RETURN OF TITLE IV FUNDS
If you completely withdraw or drop all classes, stop attending all classes or receive all audit, F, or I grades, you may owe a repayment of living expenses based on the percentage of funds unearned. Your last date of attendance is used to calculate the amount of funds you must repay to the federal student financial aid programs. The percentage of funds unearned is the number of calendar days in the term not completed divided by the total number of calendar days in the term. If the percentage of funds unearned is less than 40%, you will not owe a repayment. The amount you must repay is calculated by multiplying the total amount of financial aid you received for the term by the percentage of funds unearned.
The amount of money you must repay is considered a repayment, and must be completely repaid, or arrangements to completely repay must be made before any further financial aid funds can be disbursed to you. If you owe a repayment, you will be notified by letter within 30 days of your withdrawal date if you must repay funds, or within 30 days of the date the Financial Aid Office determines that you have withdrawn. You must repay or make arrangements with the Student Account Office to repay the amount of the overaward within 30 days of the date of the letter. If you fail to do so, then within 45 days from the date of the letter, the Financial Aid Office will notify the Department of Education of the overaward and you will become ineligible for further financial aid funding.
