Training Opportunities at Affordable Rates

Full-day seminars, one-night classes, ten-week courses, Ed2Go online classes, and half-day symposiums are the formats for many of our business-related subjects. Outside resource presenters such as Oregon Occupational Safety & Health Administration, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, and Small Business Administration also provide training through SBDC.  Most training topics are directed toward the needs of business owners and managers.  Our trainers range from local experts to nationally known speakers.

Small Business Management Program

How would you like to have your own personal business consultant to meet with every month?  Wouldn't it be nice to be able to pick up the phone or email someone whenever you have a business question?  That's what you get when you join the Small Business Management (SBM) program--  and much, much more!

The SBM program is for Lincoln County business owners and managers.  Each year you will receive:

  • Ten one-to-one two-hour meetings with the SBM Coordinator

  • An informal support group of 14 other SBM members

  • An exclusive SBM website filled with essential information for Oregon businesses

  • Ten formal classroom presentations

The SBM program is open to existing businesses.  SBM I focuses on businesses in the early stages of development by concentrating on financial management and moving owners from a checkbook mentality to understanding financial statements.  SBM II assists growing and mature businesses by helping owners increase market share and concentrating on developing efficient systems that result in higher profit margins.

If you would like more information about the SBM program, contact the Small Business Development Center at Oregon Coast Community College.
