Scuba classes begin in October

This Fall, in partnership with the Lincoln City Department of Parks and Recreation and Salem Scuba, Oregon Coast Community College brings SCUBA certification to Lincoln County.  The PADI Open Water Diver class will start with a Monday evening classroom session in early October, then Saturday mornings in the pool throughout that month. The first week of November,  the group will travel to Hoodsport, Washington for a series of open-water dives. When it’s over, you’ll be safe and comfortable under water and ready for undersea adventures anywhere – including right here at home on the coast.  Note: Participants must have properly fitted scuba-approved gear. May purchase elsewhere or from Salem Scuba (fittings will be available at initial Monday session). Estimated cost for new equipment: up to $300.
