How to Write a Novel in 30 Days

(or have a blast trying)

Have you dreamt of writing a novel? Why not start now? Last year, more than 400,000 people started a novel during National Novel Writing Month of November. Many of them completed it. Some have already been published.  Sound daunting? It’s easier than you think. Regardless of your level of writing experience and/or confidence, this two-session workshop is meant to prepare you to complete a first draft manuscript by the end of November. We’ll discuss elements of writing such as how to plot, character development, setting and point of view, plus the process for participating in the NaNoWriMo novel writing contest and how to use it to keep you on track. We’ll share with each other and help you enjoy the process and stay motivated. By the end, you will be ready to start writing. With the right plan, encouragement and support of others and willingness to pound out three or four pages per day, you will be on your way to completing a first-draft novel in one month. Even if you fall a bit short, the experience will be invaluable in the development of your writing.
