The Oregon Coast Community College student services team will be hosting a FAFSA and ORSAA help night monthly through the rest of the school year. They will all be from 3:30-6:30 p.m. and are open to the public for anyone to come get help with their applications. Here are the dates and locations for the events:
If you’re in Waldport or Toledo, find this assistance right in your high school, when OCCC’s Navigate Program Staff visit your schools. In Waldport, the team is on campus the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month; in Toledo, it’s the 1st and 3rd Fridays. For more details, see your high school counselor.
The OSAC Scholarship Application opened November 1. You can find the application through OSAC at oregonstudentaid.gov. This application helps students apply for over 500 different scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year, so we highly recommend folks fill it out! The early-bird deadline is February 15 and any applications completed by that deadline will automatically be entered for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship. The final deadline is March 1, and does not include any potential extra scholarships.
The Oregon Promise Grant is separate from the OSAC Scholarship Application, and has variable deadlines. It is a grant that helps cover tuition at any Oregon community college for recent high school and GED graduates enrolling in the term following their graduation. The deadlines are as follows:
